The French rider Cedric Gracia has suffered a serious fall this morning while training on the course of of Megavalanche Reunion Island. The severity of it has had a medical helicopter has moved to the scene to bring the French rider to a hospital, where he confirmed the broken femur.

Even lucky, and despite bleeding presenting at the time of the evacuation as a result of damage to the femoral artery, the operation he has undergone has gone well and is stable in hospital.

This is a new injury severity for Cedric Gracia, after last year broke his pelvis training for the World Cup DH.

Over your shoulder whispering
Watched a guy shatter his femur here locally off a 3 feet high kicker jump. When the EMT's put his leg in traction, it was sickening. He was absurdly calm during the whole ordeal.
