So I recently picked up this:

Since it's a cx bike, I assume it's meant to withstand a little harder use than a straight up road machine, but how hard can I ride this thing? The carbon fork kinda freaks me out - makes these weird noises that I'm not used to, but I guess that's just carbon?

I wouldn't worry about it, I have a Scott crossbike that I've spent two hard years racing cross and training in the winter on.....it's held up like a champ. I don't know anyone that has broken a cross fork, DH forks on the other hand...
