here's a question for you :monkey:s:

of all the time you spend on the computer, how much is spent browsing stuff on the web? (in other words, take how much is spent doing things in other apps like excel, keynote, what have you and subtract that from 100%.)

i'd say a solid 90% browsing for me, with email taking up another 5% and real work (problem sets, writing up stuff, applications) the other 5%... good thing i'm not paid to do this unlike some of you guys... :D

at work....100% of my time on the 'puter is for work & roughly 10% of that time is on the web, usually searching the AP graphics bank, or google. I spend a lot of time browsing when I am at home though.

I work on the computer, and got payed for 5hrs of work today, none of which got done, 4hrs of which was spent on RM. so lets see, that was $60 to post here. :)

Actually when I think about it the total is much lower than I originally thought. At work, I spend an alarming amount of time actually working between posts, and at home I'm almost always doing something related to keyboard music between posts.

do tell more about this keyboard music business. it's much more pleasant to hear about you using your hands on a keyboard than in "formative stages" :D

I played keyboards/piano about 20 years ago, was decent at it, but moved on to guitar for a while, then drums for a while, then did nothing musically for several years. Recently I sat in on keys with a really good group of musicians, and apparently I did well enough to stick around. So I picked up a decent synth, and lately I've been spending quite a bit of time learning the tunes and getting 20 years of rust worked out, plus I've been toying with Cakewalk a bit.

40% - 59% for me. Since I do desktop support for a living most of my work PC time is spent in work related applications. Mostly proprietary Kaiser apps and such. I do get in some quality Monkey time at work though (My boss would say too much time). At home I am mostly surfing the web. I don't really play games much so very little time is spent there. And I ususlly have music going via the PC while I am working or playing on it.

Of all the websites I visit, Ridemonkey is definetly in the top five for the amount of times I check it a day.

All in all, I spend way to much time on computers as well as the internet.

camino tracks the top 10 visited bookmarks, but doesn't seem to count RM properly for some reason (as it's definitely in my top 10 or 11 :D):
