I am going to be selling my 7" 888 fork which is in great condition. What would be a good asking price for the fork?

Well it wasnt intended as spam..I did post to the buy sell to sell it..just wanted to get an idea of price here...in the sale forum asking for price is asking for trouble since everyone wants a deal. I figured here I would get an objective answer

a decent way to judge is to see what other people are selling them for...check other bike boards buy/sell listings, and ebay too.

Need more info.... Scratches, crowns, springs, oil, etc? Jenson has them for $899 NEW delivered. I would say its worth something in the $600-700 range depending on the shape and what has been done with it.

I just bought a relatively new 8" 888r in good shape for less than $600, but it was from a buddy who didn't pay retail. Right now, before the '05 stuff hits the shelves (like the 'Zoke 66, Fox dh, u-turn boxxers, reworked Dorado, etc.), I'd say you should be able to get around $700 if it's in good shape. Kind of sucks but it's like a car or a computer, the value drops big-time as soon as you use it or something else comes along. With all the new stuff for '05 just around the corner, I'd guess that if you wait two more months or so you'll have a hard time getting more than $600.

Since I just bought one I'm curious, why are you selling it?

i am selling because I want to go with a sc fork. Not much riding here in florida warrants a 888. I love the 888, best fork marz put out, but I dont get mush use of it here so i will be looking @ a 66
