I have an MRP world cup system 1 chainguide on my 03 Bullit. Even after torquing the bottom bracket the chainguide is still a bit movable. Is this normal? I don't like the fact that it can move up to the point where it contacts my rear triangle.

Any insight here appreciated.

After you tighten it, you shouldn't be able to 'easily' rotate the boomerang by hand.

crank on that thing hella hard, the BB itself needs to be torqued at like 400 someodd inch pounds.

mine does that too. i dont like it at all. last time i rode, it was like digging a hole in my rear triangle, and i had to beat it back into place. the thing that sucks is that when i was puttin my bb in last time, i stripped the notches for the tool to tighten it and stuff, so i have no way to make it tighter, unless i buy a new bb and try to make it as tight as i can

A good way to tighten a BB and get good leverage is by laying the bike down with you standing over it.
