I was helping a friend of mine with his mosnter t 2003 because he wanted to replace oil with a fresh one.. however.. i have never opened such fork before so I took all the oil out by undoing the bottom 2 bolts and cycling the fork.. and its completely empty.. and i tried to undo the top cap and i couldnt pull out the whole hscv cartridge.. it gets stuck after about.. 2 to 3 inch pull? is it supposed to be like this? or are you supposed to undo the crown or something to pull out the cartridge? can anyone write some steps to taking apart monster t? thanks.

I tried all marzocchi site.. they only have "how to tighten 20mm clamps and stuff lol. anyways i figured out the problem.. cratridge with only compressoin adjust comes right out when i undo while rebound side.. seems a bit bigger? than just compressoin cartridge. i had to undo the crown bolts to get the rebound out.. i never though of tat..

Could be the crown clamps are over torqued and warping the legs to not let the cart. pull out?
