Hi,

My ~year-old Easton pedals are starting to develop a good amount of bearing slop. Can I adjust the preload on the bearings or do I need to buy new ones? If I can adjust them, what tools will I need?

Thanks!

there is a flathead screw cap at the end of the axle (on the cage)...unscrew that and you will see a nut (8mm I think, I can't remember cuz I exclusively run clipless nowadays).. Tighten this nut while holding the axle body (with a pedal wrench or 15mm wrench)..If that doesn't fix the slop, call Easton (Veltec)...if you're the original owner/purchasee, Easton warranties everything no question asked...I have had 3 Cully's replaced due to wear and tear...
good luck.
