I understand their was a website out there that you could search for and apply for different government jobs. I have found a bunch, but none of them where 'official'. I am just trying to see what is out there.

Where are you and what are you looking for? I'm currently working for a contractor onsite with the Missile Defense Agency in Washington, DC. If you're in this area, let me know and I'll see what I can dig up for you. If you're lookin gfor DoD work, I just saw a memo regarding a hiring freeze.

It's California and region specific...good luck...as boring as it can be, a gov't job is a really good gig...it'll be great if you can get in before our asshole governor cuts off people from getting into the Cal PERS retirement system. Probably 2007.
