the ny times has been absolutely terrible in their coverage of this conflict, we could have had it going good too, Russia has problems with Muslim extremists, we have problems with Muslim extremists. We would have been in one happy civilian-killing war together.

edit: I'm not seeing on any other news sites that he is sending in troops as well as aid, just aid.

Dont forget that the aircrews that fly in relief are considered "troops"...its not like they are Special Forces or anything.
