HEY everyone, just wanted to see how ya'll did !?

I took a NASTY fall on my first practice run today, so I was basically put out of the "riding fast" category.
In any case, my race run might not have been the fastest of my runs, but it was definitely the cleanest. Aside from wind blown sketch-age on the first double, I felt pretty smooth.
Needless to say. I'm proud of my 14th. in Mens Sport (19-24). I'm happy that despite feeling like crap, I had an amazingly fun and clean run.
Awesome race! I'm looking forward to dragging my broke arse to the next race in the series.
15th in mens sport (19-24) right behind morethanjake543. it was a fun run.
We'll be there for the next race as long as we're not completely broke!
I was second to dead last in 15-18. First race, I was so tense and freaked the fvck out and couldn't ride for ****. I only fell once but danm I wish I had done better. Glad there are two more races, because I am not at all happy with my performance on sunday. I know I am a better rider so next time I will (hopefully do better).
I love my new bike
Bullet with a Super T, Great feel.
that was a great weekend. no falls or crashes.
tied for 2nd in mens beginner 30-34. not bad for my first race ever.
for some reason they listed me as 3rd even though we had identical times. but oh well, i'll take it.
hope you heal up in time for our next ride reed, just let me know if you want to take a weekend off.
and we are going to the next race in the series, even if i have to pay for you 2 clowns.
i got 9th which was pretty good considering there were a lot of really fast dudes killing it all day. but i won the g-out speed trap contest and $300 so i'm pretty stoked.
3rd in expert, pretty happy with my run besides almost completely stoping in the blown out right 3 turns before the finish.
josh on the other hand..........well, probably wont ever stand that close to the side of the trail again.
1st in Sport 35-39. Railed a 44mph at the speed trap!
good job on the g-out trap! What was your # again? might have a crappy point & shoot of you pinning it.
That double was so sketchy with the wind.
Got 3rd in sport 25-29 and felt pretty solid on my run with the exception of blowing out that same right hander berm 3 turns before the finish. I think I was 1/1000th of an inch away from actually holding it together. Just a little too far outside.
1st in Expert 25-29
Wow, what a great race. It was run really, really well. They say that you can tell when somebody has put together an event well when it seems like (from the participant's point of view) it's running itself. Good job RideSFO and Team Wrong Way. I am so impressed. I was depressed about Sea Otter and you guys really made up for it above and beyong my expectations.
Couldn't have said it any better. Huge props to everyone that helped put on this event!
Got anything of plate #174? Red Foes Fly, red, white and blue kit?
I got 7th in beg 30-34
I think that translates into dead last with a dress.
I over shot the grassy berm in the top, came in way too hot and blew over the soft top. big booboo
i agree with everyone here that this race was executed very very well. the slight delays were barely noticeable and both days went amazingly smooth. Thanks guys for a great race and i'm looking forward to the next race.
What was the fastest time down the course? i forgot to look at the timings.
Coleman <sp?> with a 1:56 and small change. (I'm pretty sure that was the time) Top speed at the G-Out was Beavers clocked at 47mph.
Didn't get to race after Miles crashed into me at the top of the g-out in practice before the race. I ended up coming into the top of the g-out too hot and wiped out on the side. It knocked the air out of me so I was a little slow getting up and moving. I ended up moving a 5 or so feet off the side of the trail to catch my breath.
Then I heard "Heads up" and almost immediately I get plowed into my Miles. I heard the crash looked pretty brutal (I asked around and wasnt able to find anyone who caught it on video - damn). I don't remember much of the impact or a few seconds afterward. The air was knocked out of me yet again and my wrist and lower back were hurting like hell. I think(?) his knee hit my lower left back really good first, and I really have no idea how my wrist ended up getting hurt. I went to the ER got xrays and found that it was just a bad sprain. So I'm out for a couple weeks. I'm just really happy it wasn't broken. Bummed I am going to miss out on the next few weeks of racing though. =\
i got 1st in expert women... (they announced it as sport though haha)
fun race, love the course. just a no-stress, enjoy the speed kinda trail.
props to rideSFO, they did an amazing job.
Good god that must have been an awesome crash. Sorry to hear it was you that Miles plowed into...get well and I'm REALLY glad to hear it's only a sprain.
Does anyone know when the official results and times will be posted?
No Firestone then? sucks man!
Damn Josh, I wondered why I didn't see you around yesterday. That must've been on heck of a scene watching it unfold. Looked like alot of people got taken out this year - the ambulance crew was quite busy.
Heal up quick mang!
Ouch Josh! I was wondering why I didn't get a text message back from u. You've been having some interesting luck with races lately huh?
Thanks everyone. I hope I heal up quick. And yeah, so stoked its only a sprain. Yeah, strange luck indeed at the races. Hopefully I will be back on my bike soon for sure.
I'm super bummed about not being able to make it to the Firestone now. Man, I was fully excited about doing that race, last year was so much fun. ****. lame.
Man, I saw it happen. I just moved from that spot to photograph somewhere else. If I chilled another couple minutes I would have got it. It wasn't pretty. Glad the old wrist didn't snap.
Bummer. I'm sad nobody has video or photos of it so far.
But from what I hear, it was a pretty rad crash.
Yo Yo! Thanks for the support ... its great to get back and do the race better ... we need to make some tweaks to get it a little better ... glad everyone had a great time ... I'm glad the weather turned out the way it did but bummed about Josh, Tara and a few others that got hurt ....
We'll be posting official times and MPH later tonight and get the points awarded by next week.
For sure man. It was great while I was out there though. Seriously, such a cool event. By far the best local event.
You cant beat $45 for a race, shirt, a sick course, and a weekend of good times.
Cant wait for the next one. Fingers crossed on not getting taken out by another rider. =]
I found your new racing kit...
Bwaaaahahahaha! Good one Paul.
If I'm not mistaken, my buddy Drew and I were heading to Las Trampas to ride, and we drove by you. Did you have two Horsies and a Santa Cruz VP (maybe?) in your truck? We would have passed you right around the San Jose/Milpitas area.
4 beginer men 19-24 but i realized monday that i am actually 25...ooops my bad...I will just go up to sport 25+ and take my licks and come in like almost last n stuff....sad cheeks...SATURDAY!!!
