Howling Xt v brakes on crossmax

So im working on a friends bike for her
and i was not paying attention to where the cable lube was dripping and i got some on the front wheel's brake track ceramic no doubt...
now the brake howls really bad
whats the best way to remove the squeal with out comprising power by toeing in the pads?

First off, what's wrong with toeing in the pads? You don't get any meaningful loss in power unless you go nuts with the angle. Toe them in a little bit and see if that fixes it.

Isopropyl alcohol and scrub the rims, and scrub the pads, too. They may be contaminated with the lube. Depending on how much lube may or may not have gotten on them, new pads may be in order.
