So I was blog-surfing and came across a post that someone had linked to in their blog.
Long story short - Dog jumps fence (purebred border collie). Owners post fliers and search their town. Day two call all the local shelters and dog rescues. Go to Humane Society in BERKS COUNTY, PA where owner is told there were NO male border collies brought in to shelter. Owner talks to neighbor, then another neighbor who took said dog to the very humane society that owner had visited. He was adopted 2 hours after owner called. Humane society claims "bad owner" for not microchipping the dog.

And if you have a dog, and want to keep him, please take this as a warning and get him or her microchipped. Its really not that much money when you consider what you might have to go through to get him back.
