A heads up from DNR.....

Capitol State Forest Recreation Visitors
During the period of April 15 - June 15, 2005 Capitol State Forest will be open
for a spring hunt, open to WDFW permit holders. Hunting will occur during daylight hours only, and hunters have been requested to stay clear of known
recreation sites and trails.

As always, recreation visitors in Capitol Forest are required to stay on trails, and not explore off trail. If you would like more information, please

I had a bro once almost get shot during hunting season. He was wearing a tan sheepskin jacket while hiking and ended up with 30-06 in his face. Close call. Do they have Blaze Orange cycling gear?

What are they hunting this time of year? Jest make lots of noise, that will drive the animals and hunters away.
Do the hunters have to stay on the trail too?
There could also be some spooked horses.

As far as making noise, my phone has an mp3 player in it with a decent speaker, I just clip it to my shorts and rock out all the way down the trail

Modern Firearm for Deer opens at Sun-up on Saturday. Bear and Cougar has been open since August.
