Got my new Giant Trance 2 home last night and took it for the first ride. The Hutchinson Bulldog Airlight 2.1 tires (non-tubeless) were picking up small 1 - 2 mm pebbles and sand and slinging it all over the rear linkage and down tube like mad. I had to abandon my ride and come back on the rode. It was that bad. I thought others must be having this same problem, but have found nothing on the forums.

Anybody else with this problem? Does it go away?

rocks will get stuck in-between the lugs on the tires. If you really cant stand it, you could get some tire with more widely spaced. like nevegals or something. I get small rocks shooting off my tires all the time, and bouncing off of my frame, unless your getting huge rocks that are dinging the tubes, I wouldnt worry about it. Just ride, and have fun:)
