Those things are great for beheading rabbits. My best friend has one and hit a bunny. It cost $900 to put it back together at the spoiler. It was a nice car, but I was pretty nervous due to the size.

The father of twins I knew in highschool had one. On a windy day he got blown under a semi and drug down the highway about a hundred yards.:dead:

i like cars that have more negative camber up front than in rear. (ie, not this car.)

If the Miata was built in 1965 Shelby would have dropped a V8 in it and they'd be going for 750K today.

drifting is the new black, dont you know?
drifters would want way more negative camber up front. the only people who want more in the rear are those who stick with factory alignment specs, and those who somehow like understeer...

I dont like Miata's one bit. Call me crazy but if I were given one I'd sell it instantly. Never driven one though, so perhaps my opinions could change.

its kinda hard to see the camber on the front tires, but it gotta be significant, otherwise with that wide rear track (it gotta be at least a good 2in over stock) it would be pretty hard to drive.
the wide offsetted rims on relatively narrow tires are a lot of drifting inuendo....

Although, with the white one, i have never seen Work wheels with that much lip on them.

that one also looks like more in the rear than in the front :(

try this (you know it's a ton of camber when you can clearly see it even from a side shot :D):

Thats an extreme amount of camber in an obviously purpose built car. Something you dont want in a street legal car that you actualy have to drive around (read: replacing tires at least twice the norm), or go fast in for that matter.

yes, i don't suggest people run -7 or whatever. however, i have been running -2.5 degrees up front (-1.8 in rear) on my street driven car for the last 22,000 miles with no ill effects in terms of tire wear.

furthermore, your comment about "go fast" makes little sense assuming there are corners in the road, as more negative camber increases cornering traction, period. sure, it might compromise longitudinal traction a bit, but usually that's not the limiting factor when "going fast."

if the toe in/out is at 0 then negative camber should not cause your tires to wear in strange ways. plenty of the autocrossing crowd runs -2.0 to -3.5 year in, year out.

running more negative camber in the rear than in the front (often with 0 at the front!) shows that the owner is either more concerned about looks than performance or is a straight up bench racer.

No, it makes all the sense in the world. You said it yourself: That amount is not for going fast. Just going sideways. -7 is rediculous for anything other than drifting. Go fast? get the right amount of camber that puts the most tire on the road. You see, we agree, but I guess engrish isnt your first language

oh brother, your arging with someone who not only graduated with honors, but has self made aluminum pistons in his toolbox. Ramble on my engrish major freind, time to get your mechanic to add the latest drivel into your scubie and fill your head with nonsense. Tis a shame you didnt realize that you agreed with me but insisted on the laugable elitist attitude in post # 21. Pitty is all I feel. Oh, and -2.5 without signs of odd tire wear? end of discussion as this isnt going to go anywhere seeing as you dont have any respect for me from the begining.

edit. i posted this ^ at 4am drunk. sorry if i offended you. still though, we're agreeing that yes, all racecars do want a negative angle (positive being dumb and no angle durring deflection being being quirky to say the least). still, a 'Drifting' car, going *sideways* is idealy going to be angled more negative than say, a GT3RS. a car that can go around a circut pretty darn fast. You dont try to go sideways in racing, its slower. so yes, it still makes sense.

for the 'street':
