I may as well have an e-cinderblock around my neck. I'm on a Unix workstation, with a Citrix Windows shell. It's bloody awful. Animated gifs are not animated, I have no windows media player. No sound. AND it's ridiculously slow. It's really quite pathetic

You don't have root or sudo privs on your workstation ? What type of Workstation is it . I tell you how to crack the root password !

also by Default AIX should have Netscape installed so why don't you just use that to surf ?
