Dude, don't go to LA unless you like cars. LA sucks.
San Francisco is nice. So is Portland. Both have a big bike culture too.

Small market. Lots of small companies with small budgets. No sales support and travel to Seattle weekly. As cool as Seattle is. I am sure that would get old fast. I however think it would be a good fit. My manager doesn't. He has classified it as a "family town" and I haven't got one. Certain choices are being made for me by others....Changleen said:My vote is for Portland Oregon. Out of all the places I ever visited in the US, I pretty much liked Portland best. Not too big, not too small, cool people, great riding, great urban riding, great music scene, great entertainment... What's not to like?
I have a meeting about Nashville tomorrow. I would be a one man show. No unions, no office, and lots of work. It is booming down there. Lots of studio work . I like it there a lot. I think it would be a good fit. I would actually get to keep the money I make.BurlyShirley said:I just cant suggest moving to nashville. Not if riding is important to you.
Nashville is booming in all phases of business right now, thats for sure. We just got an NFL team and a hockey team. A new train system connecting all the suburbs is being put in, a new baseball stadium may be going in downtown. Nashville music (though shi**y) is selling more than ever. Nissan has decided to move its US headquarters here instead of cali, plus we also have Dell computers, and Saturn cars. Cost of living is GREAT! Houses are cheap on the wrong side of the river, but if you live 20 minutes out of town, you can live large for 200k.jdcamb said:I have a meeting about Nashville tomorrow. I would be a one man show. There wasn't a lot of riding here when I moved here....
You won't have Saturn to much longer. GM is closing that plant down.BurlyShirley said:Saturn cars. .........We do have hot women, btw (if you swing that way, I mean)
Only part of it from what I understand.stevew said:You won't have Saturn to much longer. GM is closing that plant down.
The women part, I don 't think you will be running out of.
Is Bend one of those micro-climate areas that gets less rain than the rest of the region?BeerDemon said:Portland is great and any decent job is going to afford a nice lifestyle there. If you get tired of the rain, just take a 3 hour drive and spend a few days in Bend.
Actually 2/3 of Oregon is considered desert. Everything East of the Cascades. Bend is on the Eastern slope of the Cascades and is pretty dry overall.H8R said:Is Bend one of those micro-climate areas that gets less rain than the rest of the region?
???BeerDemon said:You suck at KOTH btw.
Dude every time you crash our Sunday game and we start playing KOTH on foundation, you start crying like a girl. I don't think you have EVER won a game of KOTH with our crew.H8R said:

I agree. Stay the **** out of Chicago. The only redeemable feature about it is the food - anyone who has spent serious time there knows that it has some of the best food in the country, and THE best pizza around period. Other than that, it's a goddamned armpit.justsomeguy said:I was trapped in Chicago for a good portion of my life and I wouldn't wish living there upon anyone.
Fun to visit (briefly) but don't put down roots.
What about Charlotte? Supposed to be a hot area. If you really like the Boston metro area, take a look at and post your resume' up on Bostonworks.com - you know the riding is good here.jdcamb said:I have a meeting about Nashville tomorrow.
