Digital Video-Audio Technologist or DVAT Integrator. I convert broadcast/newstrap studios to comply with the new HDTV standards. I am really good at putting zip ties on one handed basically.
For some reason, I thought you were a porn star

And, Dude, you live in Rochester a place that gets more snow than even eskimos are used to and has one of the highest murder rates. I think just about any other spot on the map would look pretty darn good :thumb:

My vote is for Portland Oregon. Out of all the places I ever visited in the US, I pretty much liked Portland best. Not too big, not too small, cool people, great riding, great urban riding, great music scene, great entertainment... What's not to like?

The Asian strip mall in Albany has way better Thai than Berkeley. (at least it did, those restaurants in there move all the time...)
Insanity.

Plearn owns all, if only for the fact that the meat products aren't derived from stray pets and I've never gotten a dose of food poisoning there in all of these years.

Small market. Lots of small companies with small budgets. No sales support and travel to Seattle weekly. As cool as Seattle is. I am sure that would get old fast. I however think it would be a good fit. My manager doesn't. He has classified it as a "family town" and I haven't got one. Certain choices are being made for me by others....

I just cant suggest moving to nashville. Not if riding is important to you.
I have a meeting about Nashville tomorrow. I would be a one man show. No unions, no office, and lots of work. It is booming down there. Lots of studio work :thumb: . I like it there a lot. I think it would be a good fit. I would actually get to keep the money I make.

There wasn't a lot of riding here when I moved here....

Nashville is booming in all phases of business right now, thats for sure. We just got an NFL team and a hockey team. A new train system connecting all the suburbs is being put in, a new baseball stadium may be going in downtown. Nashville music (though shi**y) is selling more than ever. Nissan has decided to move its US headquarters here instead of cali, plus we also have Dell computers, and Saturn cars. Cost of living is GREAT! Houses are cheap on the wrong side of the river, but if you live 20 minutes out of town, you can live large for 200k.
All that said though, Im tired of it. If you move down, Ill gladly show you around, though. We do have hot women, btw (if you swing that way, I mean)

You won't have Saturn to much longer. GM is closing that plant down.

The women part, I don 't think you will be running out of.

Portland is great and any decent job is going to afford a nice lifestyle there. If you get tired of the rain, just take a 3 hour drive and spend a few days in Bend.

Is Bend one of those micro-climate areas that gets less rain than the rest of the region?

Actually 2/3 of Oregon is considered desert. Everything East of the Cascades. Bend is on the Eastern slope of the Cascades and is pretty dry overall.

You suck at KOTH btw.

Dude every time you crash our Sunday game and we start playing KOTH on foundation, you start crying like a girl. I don't think you have EVER won a game of KOTH with our crew.
I can't even remember the last time we played. Are you talking about someone else?

You must be hitting the bong again. Z1QR20 has been joining our spoadE games on Sundays fairly regularly now.

What the hell??

What is your GT? It's Fluxdecapitator, right?

You haven't been on since before Christmas, and I looked at every one of your KOTH games. I am not in a single one in 10 pages of stats all the way back to 01/19/05.

I haven't played in any games w/ you in... I can't remember how long.

Jesus dude, you are dense. You have been joining our games almost every Sunday. And yes, you kill the hell out of us until we play KOTH and then you completely fall apart.

You are officially the Hippy again because you are obviously back on the pipe.

All major cities really suck for bike riding. They pretty much require you to toss your bike in the car and drive, or take public transportation for days, or to ride on the streets for hella miles, just to make it to the trails. The population of cyclists usually isn't too big either. I'd check out Santa Barbara, Mill Valley, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Auburn, Chico, Santa Cruz, and Petaluma. But if you need to live in a city, well then, good luck. Some parts of San Jose have good riding near by, and the traffic isn't too bad.

Ever consider moving to Europe? Or Vancouver?

I was trapped in Chicago for a good portion of my life and I wouldn't wish living there upon anyone.

Fun to visit (briefly) but don't put down roots.
I agree. Stay the **** out of Chicago. The only redeemable feature about it is the food - anyone who has spent serious time there knows that it has some of the best food in the country, and THE best pizza around period. Other than that, it's a goddamned armpit.

What about Charlotte? Supposed to be a hot area. If you really like the Boston metro area, take a look at and post your resume' up on Bostonworks.com - you know the riding is good here.
