If you ride with it you will break it. I recall you have just as many incidents on the road as the dirt. :D

Has everyone seen your FC crash???

Prepare yourself for the wrath of all those in love with ipod's. I was reading an old copy of Newsweek while waiting in a doctors office to get my broken toe x-rayed (another story) and there was this huge "article" praising Steve Jobs for his mastery vision. Major puff piece. Don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against ipod's (except the price and the herd mentality they foster...O.K., I do have something against ipod's), but the Newsweek article should have had "Special Advertising Section" printed on each page.

should be fine, just make sure yr ear cord is long enough for wherever you stash the player. i've commuted w/ my Karma and it's been fine (although using replaygain is not a bad idea on yr mp3s, if you are using shuffle or creating a playlist and have songs which are mastered at different volume levels).

you can still hear quite a bit of street noise w/ both ear buds in, btw.
