So, for my new business, I am doing big screen outdoor entertainment. My screens just came in, and we set them up at my in-laws last night with some Wii action. I got 2 big outdoor inflatable screens, one 10'x6' and one 16'x9'. They are AWESOME!

Check it:

Some guitar hero action on the 10', with flash to show size and scale

The 10' with no flash, and my wife standing in front of it:

The 16' with flash, to show size and scale:

The 16' no flash, lightened a bit with the wife in front of it.

It's the coolest thing of all time. For serious!

how much do those run? a few grand?
You probably don't want to know

Why not use Fast-fold frames?

Have you ever tried to set up a 16x9 Fast-Fold by yourself, OUTSIDE? There are no tie downs for a Fast-Fold, and they are just giant wind sails. These have jersey type fabric for the screen, so wind can pass through them. They also have tie down D rings all over them to keep them up.

And Jcamb, not that I would use drape outside, but I HATE P&D

Anyone who works with P&D *hates* P&D... They are huge on it at the casino where I work, right down to putting little sections over our wall panels so no one *gasp* sees wires...

btw, cool screens, who makes em?

Yep, everyone I've worked with setting up Pipe and drape hates it too. That stuff just sucks!

The screens are made in California by a company called The Vision Experience. Their website is kind of crappy, but here it is

The production company I used to work for had a huge drape inventory. I didn't mind putting it up so much - we had these custom sewn panels that used ties or velcro and they had pole sleeves. Pretty easy to deal with.

Feeder cable for power distro...now THAT sucked.

Nice screen though. One person to set up is pretty cool.
