i just bought my first dh bike and i was reading my mazocchi hand book to see how to adjust the rebound,now i am kinda new to this sport and any other repares or adjustments i have ever needed i took it to my bike shop,well decided to do it my self.the book said turn the bolt on the bottom of the fork counterclockwise. well i was turning it and it poped off all of the oil went all over me and now i have to go to another town to get it fixed

i felt so stupid!

don't feel too bad, that's what that bolt is supposed to do (in addition to anchoring the cartridges on their bottoms). see if you can dig up an old manual, as the old ones are much more informative than the litigation-conscious new ones. there have been several threads on this before on ridemonkey, so a search would be in order.
