They do give the quality socks. I have 2 pair, the blue with the old yellow logo, and the black with "Long Live, Long Rides." My membership isn't up until May, so I will probably get some more socks with the new logos
It also looks like if you got a special code from your state rep, you can also score a mini-pump and a cool IMBA tee-shirt along with your sox.

i like the socks. you can never have too many bike socks.
i let my local bikey advocacy group membership lapse recently as well. i then signed up for a bike ride which happened to be full, but i went anyways. Wound up leading the ride, thought that was kind of a strange twist... Anyways i've re-upped and i'm member once again. It's a good thing.
