I haven't been anywhere that there was this much cigarette smoke since the 80s.

That said, I have had good crab cakes, good Boston creme pie, good baked beans, good syrup and the people are far more friendly than I would have guessed. The accents are awesome. I could barely understand one lady, but she was so nice.

The rooms are not worth nearly $200 here are Foxwoods though. I have had dirty towels and a dirty bed spread.

I am also sad that I have a travel partner and didn't get to arrange to meet up with splat or any other monkeys before I leave.

Anyway - you guys have some pretty turf up here and I will one day plan a trip to see a friend in Brooklyn and spend some time riding around here.

I would hang out with the crowd from The Devil's Gear in New Haven. They are fun dudes, even though they are mostly roadies.

So you bailed?
If you are referring to ganging up with splat, yeah I guess I did, but it turned out I was travelling with someone else.

If anyone happens to be in Warwick tomorrow, I'll buy the beers tomorrow night, but I am kind of stuck with Andrea.

I like it here and will be back though. It reminds me of a prettier VA.

You sure you're at Foxwoods? Those rooms are usually a hell of a lot more than $200/night.

I like the Mohegan Sun casino better anyway.

Edit: Yeah, the cigarette smoke at the casinos is UNBEARABLE. :dead:
I am actually in the Great Cedar instead of the Grand Pequot Towers, which sucks since the reservations were made quite some time back, but it's not bad. Just not worth the $165 it is actually costing.

I am at a WB Mason sales meeting and trade show, so I am sure we got some corporate rate.

I wasn't really complaining, just taking note. It hasn't bothered me like I thought it would. I did not utilize this as a casino though. It wasn't a bag on anyone. Stop being dramatic. :D

My mother-in-law works at Foxwoods. Hell, my brother-in-law is a security guard there. If you see a runty guy with thick glasses in a hugely oversized teal coat over a white shirt, probably with the underlying T-shirt's screenprinting visible, tell Ned "Hi."

I'll add that I had dinner at Legal's Seafood in Warwick, and while there may be better, this was really great. I formally apologize for ever giving north easters grief. I am sure I would hate the snow and long winters, but this has been near perfect.
