Well, it all depends on how the man's Bullit is set up. Could be heavy, DH setup and crappy for tamer trails.

Suggestions:
Giant VT
Kona Bear
SC Blur
Yeti 575
Foes FXR
Cannondale Jekyll
GF Cake
Turner 5 spot
SC Heckler
Trek Liquid
Ellsworth ID
Titus Switchblade

All of those should be buildable under 30 (some easier than others, for sure). I actually like the '04 Liquids and Jekylls. A bit easier on the wallet than most of those listed too. I have a Giant VT but have yet to ride it.

I second the Heckler. I don't have one but I hear that they are good trail bikes that take abuse. It will also be very similar going from one bike to the other.

oh for sure, I agree with that totally. I've based my 04 season around looking cool, unfortunutly it guarentees I'll be slow too...

In fact, I'm going totally gangsta' this year. Chains, pants worn around 1/2 way down my quad. No helmet even, just a NY yankees hat that's way too big worn over my ears and crooked...HOVA style

yes but in a trail bike situation fully active breaking isn't as big a deal....were a VP can help more with pedal forces. :thumb:

I am selling my FXR Foes frame. That would fit the bill.
