:help: looking for a 2.3 - 2.5 moto style around 1000 gms. i like the wtb
timberwolf. it does everything i need, but its only 800 ish grams and the casing tends to EXPLODE ! or tear away from the kelvar bead. i use the tioga fac dh 2.3 too which holds up very well, but its a bit narrow and the tread pattern isn't great. the area i ride is rocky, so the casing (and everything else) takes a beating.

def go michelin, i ran the same set of tires from may to now not a single flat not a single problem. My friend runs the same tires (i got them on his suggestsion) and he and I would literally be the only ones at races not to have ANY tires problems. (the 32 copm and 24 or whatever they are called) they have sick traction too

..paper thin sidewalls.

Not if you get the DH casing which is still pretty light.

The best light tire I have found is the Kenda Nevegal DH casing 2.3 Stick E. It is still a DH ply tire but around 1000g and is pretty big for a 2.3.

The DH Panaracer 2.4 is pretty nice. But make sure you get the DH casing as the single ply is paper thin.
