Quantcast

I propose a new slur in place of redneck or hillbilly.

LOL

Didn't Marion Barry, too...AFTER his crack conviciton? :dead:

Some choice quotes from him:

"If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very very low crime rate."
"First, it was not a strip bar, it was an erotic club. And second, what can I say? I'm a night owl."
"The brave men who died in Vietnam, more than 100% of which were black, were the ultimate sacrifice."
"I am a great mayor; I am an upstanding Christian man; I am an intelligent man; I am a deeply educated man; I am a humble man."

Of course, he is still an amature compared to George W.

The unfortunate summer I spent in the midwest (high concentration of red states) I coined the term field billy. The term was effective enough that I had several people threaten to beat me up when I used it on them. [/irrelavant rambling]

Surprising. That would never happen anywhere else.

Nope, I blame nobody but the democrats for fielding a poor selection of candidates, and then for actually nominating one of them... If they couldn't find one person capable of defeating a despicable piece of crap like Greorge Bush, they deserve to lose.

But I reserve the right to poke fun at the people who bought his lies.

Tenchiro, I agree with you......it is very appearant that a democratic candidate that was not so liberal and wishy-washy probably would have easily knock GW out of office. Kerry was a weak choice.

I saw a true redstater at lunch. Dumb bastard spray painted, yes I said spray painted, "kerry sucks" on his tail gate. Only a true booger eating Bush follower would be so stupid.

To say the least, but hell, he was better then Mr Vermont!

A good middle of the line liberal could have EASILY towed the line right into the white house.

It was a pretty nice truck. It would seem dumb as hell to paint anything on it to me.

Depressing times... when people put this filthy administration back in the White House instead of burning them alive, you know that something is terribly wrong...

Should have gotten my ass kicked. I was a pissed off kid who found himself in central bumblefack Nebraska.
I almost got my assed kicked in Mississippi for laughing at a joke a friend told me while on a cross country ride. On the same trip I also had a guy pay the ferry toll for our whole group or cyclists and drive away before we even go to the toll booth. Livinh in Southern California all my life I've certainly experienced things like the former, but none of the latter.

There are ****hooks and asshats everywhere, they're just the pissed off kids who never grew up, and the midwest has NO monopoly on THEM.

The Canadiens are the hockey team, they are currently on strike. The rest of us go by Canadians, and we would prefer to not be disturbed, thanks.

And what makes you think Canada wants your sorry illiterate self? I am thinking Canada is already hosed up and doesn’t want any more non-tax paying slackers on their creaking welfare system.

That's the thing, Kerry really WASN'T that wishy washy. The Bush campaign just OWN3D him, as it would have ANY democratic candidate. How can one be both a "flip-flopper" and "the most liberal senator in Washington." It's not possible.

People claimed he didn't get specific about policies, or clearly define his plan. In the meantime Bush got away with statements like "we're working hard," "we're planning initiatives," "we're having discussions." Real f-in' specific.

The fact is, the Dems didn't field a particularly weak candidate. They ran a particularly weak campaign, especially in the face of a Rep campaign that was willing to say and show any slick fabrication it could think of to plant a seed of an idea in the American psyche. Campaign politics may be forever changed. We've doomed ourselves to another 20 years of horrendous propaganda, sound-biting, and talking points, because we just proved how well it works. Any campaign that follows would have to be idiotic not to copy those tactics.

(that being said, I still think Clarke could have won. Not Dean... but Clarke)

You "guys" and your labels.............you're starting to sound awfully elitest and "class" oriented. Why is it "ok" to be intolerant of some but not of others? Isn't that contrary to the whole "can't we all get along" (que the group hug) philosophy?

Anyway.................
