The Shimano rep was at the shop I work and brought a Scott Addict with it on, and let all the techs ride it. It does feel much different from previous versions, the rear shifter and der. shift more crisply with a more pronounced click (I especially like this) and the front shifter and der. shift faster then before.

The hoods are comfortable but just not as good as before. My only real complaint is if you use the new shifters you have to use the brakes since Shimano change the cable pull due the "new cable routing".

The biggest things that I liked are the shifting, looks and the way they bolt on the chainrings, no more t nuts to mess with. I'm glad that they finally went to under the tape routing it looks so much better

This has me wondering about using it for CX how will it work on my cants.

I still am thinking about getting the ele. version. :brows:

Is your Shimano Rep also a Scott Rep? Just curious because we had a rep leave a CF Scott Ransom with Full XTR at our shop for a couple months for Employees to ride.

I really, really want to ride it. Actually, I want to install it on my new frame, it seems like such a shame to put '08 DA on there...but alas, I'm cheap...

I say this with much love and respect, but James, you are a quintessential bike whore.
