But I offered up my money to these german lizards for this:

http://bikeyoke.mysimplestore.com/products/revive-dropper-post

Supposedly it has a design which allows any air that works into the hydraulic part to be "bled" at any time, making the issue of slow contamination much less of an issue and fixable, as shown in the first vid:

I'm surprised no threads on it here or on mtbr. Of course, I feel kind of dirty offering up money for something that is supposed to be produced in a few months, but this one seems legit and paypal is pretty good about these things. Deal was, order before the end of October and get some extra stuff thrown in like remote/adaptor titanium bolts and cheaper than after the end of October. Appears to be pretty lightweight, if it weighs what it claims, it'll be at least 100g lighter than my transfer on the other bike.

Is it such an issue for you? I had to service/bleed my LEV after 3 years of use and abuse and it was done in 1 hr, I did one of a friend shortly after and was even quicker.

Also I wonder how do you know when to close the de-bleeding valve again to not spill some or let's say too much oil into the air chamber?

But it's a nice concept and I'm interested in reading your review once it's been put to a proper alaskan test.

3 years? If you got good use out of a LEV for 3 years, that's incredible IME, I only about about a season before my command post started getting crappy, and even after a rebuild it was never great again (like trump). I don't have much time on the transfer, but it seems nice and works as advertised, but you have to "send it in" to get the cartridge bled and rebuilt. Something that allows for this at home easily seems like a good idea, not to mention the contamination issue with air. I'm hoping this is a further evolution of dropper posts, just like suspension forks have gotten better and better.

Livin it up in the O.C.
On year 3 of my second one.

They fixed their problem, which I did have within the first year of the first one I bought. I bought another to just rotate with warranty repairs but so far it seems like a waste.

Yeah, heaven forbid you had to ride a "FIXED" seatpost for a week or two!!

In these years I put it through every test you can think about, wet season, snow season, dust and mud season at the volcanic island of Tenerife with really abrasive mud and dust. I put up some photos of the post when I took it apart.

The reason I took it apart was 5 mm of sagging, post was otherwise working fine.

KindShock know their business.

1> Buy Reverb...
2> send reverb back when it sags
3> receive latest reverb in return along with a new 2 yr warranty.
4> GOTO 2
This solution has been doing just fine for me for years.

Only problem is, in the US, the warranty is only 12 months longs and they managed to make them last 13 months now.

Still riding the first release of the first version of the Reverb.
Hell, I had one in Canukistan before they were available this side of teh border.

Still going strong, no issues. I have ripped the hydro line out of it once during an unscheduled dirt sample session, but a couple spare parts and a bleed and it was good to go.

Am I the only one with an OG that has never harfed?
