„The original idea for this project comes from Anke Wilken, the wife of a frenetic, obsessed cyclist who spends any and all of his free time on a bike. Being surrounded by nothing other than bikes, bikers, bike magazines and bike parts, Anke felt she was fast becoming a bike widow - fast losing ground to her husbands' love affair with cycling. In defence, her husband has argued that beauty solely lies in the engineering and technical aspects of the bike. Our hope then is to challenge her husband's view spicing up the cycling world with a little more beauty and emotion beyond the spoke and wheel".
