Was that interview not the nail in her coffin? How could someone possibly still think that she is capable of being any sort of leader?

You're a white woman with children??

I'm lost...

Katie was asking her to actually answer questions...pitbull w/lipstick and all that...
No. When Palin was announced as the VP candidate, white women with children made a massive shift to McCain. I was joking that there was more identity politics at play than policies.

What freaks me out is the "This Video Is Not Currently Available" when I play the CBS video.

I have to admit, I couldn't watch the full answers to all the questions. Too painful... sympathy vote?

Somewhat impressed with Couric. There were definitely some areas where I think she should have pushed harder (and not just "gotchas" but really asking for some specificity) but WAY better than Gibson. Haven't watched Hannity yet.

the hanninty interview was a total joke. he may as well have been wearing a mccain/palin t shirt. it was pretty much him trash talking obama (on points that have been proven false) while tossing softballs to palin, and not following up or pressing her on answers that danced around the question.

I think it was a firefox issue.

I finally listened to the interview.

I wonder if Palin realizes that it is obvious she is making it up.

But my biggest fear is that I know what is it is like to make it up on the spot and I can sympathize, as I know many Americans do.

But we are not running for President!!!! I want a President who has the answers, is not going to fake it!!!!!!

BTW, I thought about this on the can: I blame McCain.

Palin has no idea what she getting in to when she accepted the VP nomination. McCain should have known she was a boob, and found someone qualified, even if that person was not a pretty face or would get him votes.

Condi Rice is the obvious choice: Sect of State, better educated than Obama, except that she is probably a lesbian.

She's also a darkie. And when you're betting on latent white racism to get you into the white house, you'd be stupid to throw away what you think is your biggest advantage.

It is identity politics at play, you don't pick a VP because it is rationally the best choice, you pick the VP to get media attention and get people interested in your campaign. It worked extremely well, and it was a great pick.

Think she fakes it? Someone ask Todd.
I am still waiting to hear about some lumberjack dude tearing her up one night in Idaho after too many tequilas...you know they are out there.

Picking Palin generated buzz, thats it. She is a mess. Condi would have been a better choice. Real experience, and true intelligence. Plus, she looks better in heels...

If Condi had kids, I believe that she would have been picked for VP. Aging women without children aren't looked upon too highly in a lot of circles, and it hurts identity politics.

Using the viewpoint that the VP gets you elected, I think Palin is doing a bad job.

She has such baggage that the attention the campaign is receiving is all negative.

Now the focus has shifted from McCain to Palin. Was that the goal?

Yes, it gave McCain a huge short term boost, and overall an uptick in the longer term, and it really energized the evangelical base.
I do think she shored up the conservative vote, but at the cost of the average person who vote is based on common sense.

A buddy of mine an electrician. Not college educated but a smart dude. His family and friends are not exactly geniuses, so economic plans or complex diplomacy issues is not their concerns.

But they all can tell she is an idiot and a liar. That is who Palin is losing every time she opens her mouth.
