    I WANT THAT CAR!

When I was growing up, I used to build that car from my Legos's.

Awe come on, HUGE rep points for the Lego thing. I know that anyone who was anyone built THAT car with their Legos

Is it funny because the words aren't well-synched to the author's lips?

    From a picture caption:
"Driving through a dense forest? Zircon-tipped saw blades will cut down anything in your path. The Mach 5 powered through our slalom like nothing we've ever seen before."
    From test notes:
Acceleration: With the crampons engaged, tire slip is negligible. Set the transmission to automatic and let the computer do the shifting since you'll be busy focusing far enough ahead as all 1700 bho is unleashed."

    Performance numbers:
    0-100ft: .7sec
    1/4-mile: 2.6@197.1

The whole thing is funny, mostly the spec sheet.

Here's the trailer if anyone hasn't seen it:
    http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/speedracer/trailer1a/

I don't know, this looks so over the top it might actually be good, or it might the Wachowskis' Heaven's Gate. As far as cars are concerned though, i'm with Iron Man:

The sad part is, is that the guy who place Speed (Emile Hirsch) is actually a pretty good actor.

He was in The Girl Next Door, Lords of Dogtown and Alpha Dog.
