but don't they have now that they would want, and how is an event 150 years past still relevant to their daily lives?

as matter of fact back in the late 1880's new mexico (then a territory) was once wagered in a poker game but after the guy thew the deed on the table the other guy thought the game was too far outta hand (his wager 10,000 head of cattle or something) threw down his cards and left.
