"For some people, it's about suspicion of drug use because they have no proof. For others, it's a cover for other anger that they have."

I'd actually be disappointed if Jesse Jackson didn't turn the steroid investigation into a race issue. He seems to have forgotten that Palmeiro and McGwire have been pretty much dumped by all fans.

Front Range, dude...
He (Jackson) is a predictable, media/camera whoring, race baiting a$$wipe who really has never done anything for anyone other than himself. Oh, wait, he is a reverend. What church does he preach in anyway? (Hint: He doesnt, and never has).
Reverend Jim from Taxi has more pulpit cred than this idiot...

People are stupid to even care whether Bonds, or anyone does drugs. Jesus - how does it change their lives???

That said - Jackson is a whack. How is he still alive???

Is it stupid? How is it any stupider than wondering Tyler Hamilton did drugs, or Lance Armstrong? If you like a sport, and like to watch its competitors perform at the highest level, you SHOULD care about those who cheat.

Yeah - steroids really HELP the hand eye coordination required by baseball. I figure if you are dumb enough to dope, it can kill you. I watched tons of people trash horses with dope and I am sure athletes do the same. I would rather spend my time worrying about fat kids and car seats than to spend one second of my life concerned with how an athlete lives. I think it matters about as much as a politician having an affair. It removes a level of trust, but most likely, it will never affect my life.

yes, steroids don't help hand-eye, but it does help you play better, swing faster, etc. through a long season.

As for Jesse Jackson... consider this y'all... you can't fight every battle, so you have to pick and choose.

I'm with Burly on this.....OK the world didn't end....

It might not affect your life per se, but for those of us who like to watch some sports, we'd rather not have cheaters out there. Or, for those who compete in sports or have aspirations to compete in sports, it's not fair to have to compete against someone who is juiced up.
