Back when the AT&T crit rolled through Austin, the Hincapie rep came by our shop to get her bike assembled. She was riding a Giant with, what do you know, I9 roadie wheels...white rims, black spokes, white hubs.

Now, if you flip through bicycling magazine, you'll see that there's a 2-page ad for Hincapie clothing that features a guy on a Giant, with I9 road wheels.

the Hincapie/ Giant relationship is pretty obvious. what about the I9 thing... coincidence?

Isn't I9 near Hincapie?
Is it the same bike in the ad? I haven't seen it yet, have to check it out. Those wheels sound hot though.

not sure if it's the same bike. if you look at hincapie's site, the flash animation is the ad in Bicycling. the rims look like Deep Vs or RR1.2s. I thought I9 was just doing carbon tubies and carbon clinchers.

Hey everyone... new guy. Saw this and had to explain. They are in fact easton rims (or so I am told) I currently am a racer/mentor for the Hincapie Barkley Development team. The wheels are extremely good rolling. Color scheme deffinately turns heads. Not to mention the ceramic bearings they offer on our are extremely smooth! Here are some pictures.

this is a little look at them. Hope it helps... If anyone has any questions let me know. I am a picky racer, and a hard critic and would love to talk bike parts any day.

For better information, we did make the connection due to location. Hincapie sportswear is based in Greenville, SC and I9 in Asheville. These two areas tend to connect alot through several outlets. Hope this picture helps!
