I know, Firefox, blah blah. I need IE to use certain military and gov't pages and when I try to install IE8 Beta 2, it says I have a previous version of IE8 installed and must remove it.

How?

I'm willing to surrender and go back to IE7 but IE I have must...

Have you tried the "IE Tab" add-on for FF? You can open a Firefox tab with the IE rendering engine. I would think it should work.

Can't help you with the IE8 issue, though.
