In addition, she told Tennessee officers details about the murder and about becoming involved in a Nigerian check scam, in which she lost $17,000, Ballin said.

Boston....outside of it....
"She told Alabama officers that the killing was not planned and that she had been verbally and emotionally abused by her husband. She also said she had been through a life-threatening event in the past year, Ballin said, but would not elaborate."

well.....
not saying it's right to go around shooting people (I am a big ol pacifist), but as a victim of domestic abuse I can kind of understand where she might be coming from.

Whether she is telling the truth or laying it on people... I have no clue.

I wasn't there.

I do not feel threatened by her getting released on bond. I don't believe that she will harm anyone else.

If that is domestic violence.....

Sh!t, my former employer would verbally castrate her husband in front of me.

If for some reason he rubbed her out, I'd have no problem with them releasing him.

this is a regional story around here.

i'm amazed at how she is being portrayed by the local media as someone we should all have pity for.

i agree with silver.
if she'd have been a guy.....

She might be out on bail because of the charges of domestic abuse, in which case it would be harder for a man. She also might be out because she's a preacher's wife, in which case a male preacher murdering his wife might also be able to get out on bail. Religious people are seen as automatically "good" in our society, so that could have something to do with it.

details have been few and far between on this.

but the main scuttlebutt is that both of them were heavily involved in numerous shady $$$ dealings.
both together and separately.

if true, that pretty much rules out a true domestic violence situation.

the "religious" aspect of all this plays well here in the bible belt.

I think she meant to say that she was a victim of domestic abuse.

She has military training. I'd be stupid to start anything with her.
