ohio said:Wall off Israel. Seriously. It wasn't necessary 10 years ago, but they ****ed up diplomacy and now it is. Continue to react to terrorist acts with an iron fist. Hunt down and kill known terrorists.
AND invest in palestinian infrastructure. Help them build their own society, not just their own state. Water treatment, power, schools, roads. Turn the camps into real cities. Sidewalks, museums, libraries, government buildings. Quell the poverty, get them access to books and the internet. Help them live like decent human beings, rather than refugees.
In 30-50 years bring down the wall and reunite them.
I don't recall a particularly good reaction when the Israelis tried to wall themselves off...ohio said:Wall off Israel..

credit should go to noted wit dorothy parker, who came up w/ that gem when asked to use the word 'horticulture' in a sentence.Greyhound said:That reminds me of a quote my grandaddy used. He said "Boy....you can lead a horticulture...but you can't make her think."
Actually, the quote would end up being, "Isreel, tier down that, hehe, well!"kidwoo said:Yeah but once it's done, george bush can say "israel, tear down that wall" and then there will be an end to terrorism.
Worked for CNN.
You mean.....it wasn't my grandaddy? **Sniff**narlus said:credit should go to noted wit dorothy parker, who came up w/ that gem when asked to use the word 'horticulture' in a sentence.
Yeah, I was opposed to that. I'm not anymore. But I also don't think that alone it's even close to a solution.MikeD said:I don't recall a particularly good reaction when the Israelis tried to wall themselves off...
Perhaps it wasn't just the wall itself, but the line they were following to build it.MikeD said:I don't recall a particularly good reaction when the Israelis tried to wall themselves off...
by bet at that scenario.Toshi said:a) stop giving money and arms to israel
b) let all the middle eastern countries duke it out on their own
i dont think israel could back its neighbors to a standoff, in a sustained way.Toshi said:i think israel could back its neighbors to a standoff. they have the bomb. (i know, implied by your "glass" comment, but i'd hope they of all people would have the sense to not actually use it.)

My solution is BBQ'd pork ribs, cuz you can't be mad with a belly full of ribs.
No, but ours can.ALEXIS_DH said:they are extremely powerful, but they will be out of breath after a few weeks. its economy cannot sustain mobilization of 400 000 soldiers for long.

Hezbollah and Hamas would be relatively marginalized amonst the Arab population if Israel pulled out of the WB and Gaza.

i guess you don't realize that Israel is DOING what the USA WANTS?!?!freeridekid said:israel are basically acting like terrorists, worse even the hezbollah, so ya i say we just cut off all their funding and say, hey, we tried to help you but u turned about to be no better than the rest of them--screw you
haha exactly. but I"m saying what i think we should say to them. obviously bush wants to be a lil' cowboy and round up all dem terrorists, no matter what nationality he's working under. but like i said israel just sickens me, supposedly retaliating for the kidnapping of two soldiers by bombing the hell out of lebanon and getting way more than two of their own troops killed in the process. just because they're jewish doesn't mean they have any more right to kill innocent people than hezbollah.Tenchiro said:It's not terrorism when we do it.
ya i'm not really for any particular religion. i think they all deserve to be in the holy land, but unfortunately it seems the whole jihad ideology will never allow for peace in that region. how can you stop people from fighting over religion when its the very religion that is telling them to fight?LordOpie said:Many of you know I'm pro-Israel (if you've ever really read my posts, you'll also know I'm pro-Palestine, pro-peace).
I just wanted to say, you can be supportive of a country and still not like everything they do.
My stomach turned this morning when I read reports about last night's bombing. It's incredibly sad.
Y'all shouldn't think that Israel supporters are cheering the deaths of civilians. I would be shocked if anyone who posted here actually is happy about the situation. It sucks for everyone
