What would you add, remove, or change?

For me.

Term limits:
- President can only serve one 5 year term ever.
- Senators would have terms reduced to 2 years and would not be able to run for repetitive terms.
- Representatives would no longer be able to run for repetitive terms.
- Supreme Court Justices would become elected officials (popular vote), they would keep life terms though.

Campaign Reform:
- Place hard cap on campaign spending.
- Ban the use of private funding for campaigns.

Elections:
- Remove electoral college and establish popular vote for choosing the president.

Big Business and Unions:
- Establish the right for labor organize (protected by the constitution [take that wallmart])
- Add clause that bans Corporations from achieving "personhood" or allowing them the same rights as human beings under the Constitution.

Reorganization of Govt. Power:
- War Powers Authorization now by Public Vote (The Congress and Executive can mobilize the military w/o popular vote ONLY in defense of the nation) as detailed by a proposed 28th amendment http://www.egreenway.com/28Amendment.htm

Random:
- Add provision making a secular government more than just a rule of thumb but an actual law.

That's it for now, maybe I will think of more to add later.

In addition to yours

No advertising on TV or radio for campaigns and 50,000 dollars (adjusted for inflation) max to spend on campaigns.

Implement the Second Bill of Rights that FDR proposed.

Abolish the death penalty

I'd like to know what Snoop Dogg would do/shape this country to if he had the means.

Me, I concur with most of the above but like to ad or tweek:
-No politicians can 'promise' what they will create if elected, as this leads only to false promisses, they will only be allowed to show what they have so far done in their lives.
-Good leadership is imparative, therefore no term limits.
-Politicians will be paid what equals a low working salary in that country, like what a second or third class nurse gets paid. That way they will share the same reality of those workers that have it the worst.
-Politicians may not have shares or sit on the boards of companies.
-Lower the minimum % needed for parties/independent individuals to get into the parliament/houses to what ever equals one single seat (in Sweden it is now at 4% of the elected, and would change to a 1/349).
-No proffesional lobbying allowed.

The media:
-Both national as regional press will be government support funded equally in a way by their definition, devided in the 4 definitions of Conservatives, Neo Liberals, Social Democrats, and Socialists. In small towns they will all have to share the same paper, with a few political pages each, so that they all equally get their word out.
-The revenues comming from commercial ads will go to a mutual fund that will destribute the means equally 4 ways with the same ads in all papers (so that people don't choose paper after how many ads they have. Yes, that is very common).
-A similar 4-way balance of information must be restored on TV as well, not only corporate controled channels, among those that are aired (cable and satelite excluded).
-A constant strive for lowering the pyramid of power should be constitutionalized.
-A participatory democracy, and not a representative, should be the model. Participation on local and regional level through monthly or weekly voting through the internet for easy access from the masses.
-Referendums 2-3 or 4 times per year. To democratisize the democracy on a national level.

In general:
-Nationalize the military industial companies, to minimize the powers that be from wanting to start new wars and coflicts.
-Nationalize all natural resources as this country belongs to all its citizens.

Maybe more to come.

I think that career politicians are bloodsuckers and when your in politics to pay the bills you suffer a disconnect between yourself and the people. Political office should be a public service and not a way to earn a salary.

That is why I support rigorous term limits, keep the democracy fresh and well connected to the people.

However I agree strongly with efforts to make the democratic process more direct, as well as nationalizing the defense industries.

Take elections out of the hands of the parties. Primaries would sort out the top two candidates in the pool, regardless of party affiliation. General election goes to the person who can get at least 50% of the popular vote.

Require a license to breed.

Good point and I understood it. I had to choose good leadership over that because of agressive countries that exist, and where a fresh leadership is quite a risk. Within time though, if the US stops threaten everybody, then your way is definately better.

Front Range, dude...
No offense RW, but this is the US Constitution...if you want a say, you have to invest in a political candidate or party...

- I would bring on a TRUE popular vote...screw the electoral college.
- Flat tax. No loopholes other than charity.
- Encourage renewable fuels research/exploration.
- Get us out of the UN.
- Start a line for those who wish to immigrate legally. Build a gallows for those who come here illegally wishing to do bad things.

I don't see why there should be a limit to the number of years/times someone can be president. If someone keeps getting elected, let him (or her).

Clinton would be wrapping up his 4th term right now.....and the country would be rolling in money...and not engaged in a silly war....

There is a great essay about why a progressive tax is good

http://www.rockridgeinstitute.org/research/lakoff/progressive-taxation-some-hidden-truths.html

It is written much better than I could ever explain it, and it is really worth the read

- End birthright citizenship; end native born requirement for presidency
- Clarify meaning of Second Amendment. Whether it goes one way or another on "necessary... militia" vs "right to bear arms", I don't care as long as it's crystal clear and I don't have to listen to assholes arguing over it.
- First and Fourth Amendment now appear in bold, and all elected officials have to recite them at their inaugurations.
- Defines marriage as between a man and a woman... just kidding!
- Repeal the Seventh Amendment as part of a major tort reform. Civil trials should be juried by judges... elected judges in my opinion. At minimum, damages should be assigned by a judge, not a jury.
- Add MJ to the 21st Amendment
- Defines Rush listeners as 3/5ths of a person.
