I'd like to think I could face it with the courage my dad did.

He was given 6mos to live but basically told cancer to STFU because he had things to do.
Guided my younger brother through the darkest days of his schizophrenia.
Repaired his marriage and took some epic trips with my mom.
Saw his other two sons get married.
Never missed a day at work (his own business) to ensure for the livelihood of his employees and prepare those who would succeed him when he passed.

After 6 years, when the pain became too much, he was bedridden at home and we'd all said our goodbyes, I sent him off with a fat syringe of morphine and hopes we'd meet again.

RIP dad, it's been a long 14yrs without you.
