Shut up and Ride
We have a site that is hosted internally, and my boss wants a newsite for his other company, and i want to host it on the same server as company#1 is on.

my current setup=

companyname.com=25.98.7.148

sonicwall's (firewall/vpn/security device)
NAT: 25.98.7.148 = 10.1.1.60

10.1.1.60 machine has IIS on it

so....

differentcompanyname.com = 25.98.7.149

now what??

How do I avoid conflicts between the two?

Virtual IP? Use same internal host, but set up a Virtual IP address, like 10.1.1.61, then translate 25.98.7.149 to 10.1.1.61.

Or I am talking out my a?? I am no web services expert.

A virtual IP is basically assigning a second IP address to one network interface.

That network interface now handles 2 ip addresses. You then configure your web server to work with the second ip address, which treats the virtual IP no differently if you had installed a second NIC.

How to do on it on Windows? Sorry...
