Huh... this is common market terminology. Can you please explain to me how duration and volatility impact the value of a derivative when you have a small change in the underlying. Can you also detail the changes to risk value when you have a change in volatility and/or duration?

Thanks!
No No, I'm not the scum of the earth, I avoid economic derivatives. I'll leave that to other people ;)

Dumbass, I'm talking about the speedometer being off. If you tire is 35 inches, and your speedo is off cause it is set for something that's say 29 inches. That's roughly 18 MORE inches per revolution of the tires than the stock size. Multiply that over a few miles and you're actually traveling. Meaning you would have traveled 1.2 times farther than the

I know bigger tires mean "more fuel" but not always, dude's put semi tires on their 2wds to bring up the mileage (similar to the idea of a 29er) (and not that my softer all terrains are going to get better mileage)
and those dudes are retarded for doing so... they do that without recalibrating and it gives them the impression they are getting more milage.

I know those trucks, I know how they work, yours doesnt get what you think it does....

Only person on this site whos deisel truck can get that kind of milage is GFF, thats because he actually understand what makes these trucks run properly.

Taller tires for better milage just doesnt work, its also in no way like running a 29er...

Nice try though kid.

Step 1: increase tire diameter
Step 2: ignore gauges
Step 3: ?????
Step 4: Profit

Alright now, you get the tard award, this is the second time I have corrected you on this very topic

29 inch tires= 91.106 inches per revolution

35 inch tires= 109.956 inches per revolution

Now if your **** is set for 29 inch tires and you actually have 35s you are going 18.85 inches FARTHER than your. Meaning you are going FARTHER, and therefore getting BETTER mileage than you're reporting with an un-adjusted tac.

Now, I can crunch those numbers bigger and translate it to 60MPG, but I should hope you aren't THAT dumb and I don't need too.

You keep trying to crunch these numbers like your smart........ You forget the biggest most basic part..... IT COSTS MORE FUEL THAN LARGER DIAMETER TIRES WILL EVER SAVE YOU IN FUEL TO TURN THEM.....

Your a dumbass, your trying to correct someone who actually knows exactly every little thing happening inside a deisel motor at every step, and that knows exactly how to get better milage, as in actual miles to the gallon, knows that jsut because you dropped RPM does not mean your saving fuel..... Seriously, what is your knowledge in how ANY engine and drivetrain works at all? Oh thats right, you dont know more than fuel and air goes in, hot air comes out.

ANd WTF does changing tire diameter have to do with adjusting your TAC???? The Tac will still read the engine speed and engine speed alone....

I'm not making that argument, you said, my speedo was off, and therefore I was reporting better mileage, and I proved you wrong.

You didnt prove ****, your still not getting 22 MPG in that hunk of **** truck of yours.

I still belive your Speedo is reading off, and I bet you I can even tell you why.

My guess is that whomever you bought the truck from had some work done in the rear end beliving it would help with whatever... So they swapped out the gears, but they didnt swap the reluctor ring on the carrier. Your Speedo runs off the RWAL sensor in the top of the rear end on your truck... this throws it all out of whack...

Good luck trying to convice me other wize..... Reason I know.... I see this **** all the time.

Ummm, but my rear end is the stock 80 out of my old truck, and I know it's a 354.

Reason I know, I put it there myself.

So let me get this straight. I sat in my driveway revving my motor for a half hour. Then I drove around all willy nilly for about hour and a half. Most of the time my tachometer was pegged at about 5800 rpm but only when I was in my driveway, I was unable to drive and monitor the tach without almost perilously coming close to hitting other cars on the roadway, so I pulled over, caught a second wind, and went to Wendys for a frosty. Driving while eating a frosty was pretty hairy but I pulled it off. By the time I got to Buffalo I was all confused and nervous so I went to the casino and lost $300. I felt better after I chewed and screwed the buffet, which is very good by the way...

I put in 11.1 gallons of gas in my car the day before. Just after I got back I put 4.6 gallons to top off the tank. My question is how many rpms did I average to get Buffalo and back home here in Rochester 67 mlies away. I want to figure out my Gas Mileage....

is this assuming optimal inflation pressure? what about tread wear? when was the last time you had everything balanced?

OK I got it... Tire Pressue x Tire Size + RPM's divided by Fuel consumption - Miles traveled at or above the speed limit = MPG's Wow my car gets like 800 miles to the gallon if my math is correct... Thanks for the help....

You forgot to multiply your exhaust tip size divided by how many paint colors.

No exhaust tip, just 6 feet of down-pipe, so the cab doesn't stink like diesel. (still waiting to get a ticket pulling on the freeway) That's gatta be like a 40 inch exhaust tip.

And the white paint hasn't actually started to chip yet!!! I'm considering myself lucky thus far.

My Calculator must be effed up?? Whatever I divide by 1, always comes out as itself? Very frustrating so I threw it at the cat. I'm thinking of buying a VW as they figure out the Mileage without having to do all the lame ass Math.

Don't forget drag coefficient of your bolt on spoiler. People tend to over look that.
You also need to multiply by the absolute value of the change in suspension height vs stock, and add 6 if the car has flames.

I am not going to community college, but I would think that Mike could be kind of helpful to you if you warmed up to him instead of being a dick... Look at some of his other posts. Compared to you he knows what he is talking about and contributes a fair amount of help to other monkeys who aren't dicks....

Funny, cause I NEVER asked him for any sort of help or advice. And the help/ advice he did give started with "you're a retard." When some one starts in like that with me you better bet I'm going to start pushing buttons.

I also understand he's a diesel mechanic. But I also understand there is one that is perfectly qualified that lives in my neighborhood.

As well mike is making an error I learned not to make as a bike wrench, that being making assumptions about something, not only without seeing it, but not even having any sort of description as to what's up from the owner.

The Rotary Club international and the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo NY. I got a full ride Hockey scholarship to boot.... In what may have been a violation of NCAA rules I got paid to go to school.....
Good thing my shoulder is sitting halfway out of it's socket from a hockey injury when I was 12
