I watched some show - I think it was on the Discovery channel - where this guy tripped in his garden and fell on a tomato plant stake. The stake was driven into his shoulder under his armpit and out the top of his neck, right back behind his ear.

He lived with no repercussions of the injury save for a couple very nasty scars. No tendon damage, spinal damage, nothing.

They spent the show trying to recreate the circumstance with a dummy they made out of clay or putty or something. The show itself was rather boring but the story was cool :thumb:

my Subaru's tire got impaled by a 3 inch metal stake yesterday....................

I have actually been in Vlad's castle in Romania.
