Checking out a couple gyms tomorrow. Spending $50 a month at a gym rather than $200 a month on booze finally makes sense.I wish I could quit drinking, but in the effort for more exercise this year, we bought an elliptical trainer yesterday.
Thanks brother!Good luck SB, hope it happens.
Good luck Stinky, but $200 a month in booze damn thats a lot. I think I spend around $25.
My roommate must be right about AZ being a hole if you have to drink that much booze to live there.
I'm just usually stocked. A trip to the grocery store for me is like that Nick Cage scene from Leaving Las Vegas...
Your roomie's a loser if he can't find fun in this state. My roommate must be right about AZ being a hole if you have to drink that much booze to live there.
Well I think it has to do with the fact that when he was in Phoenix someone tried to hijack his car when he was at a red light.Your roomie's a loser if he can't find fun in this state.
guess you never tried to drink with a wired jaw. it burns really badBut isn't alcohol liquid? On a liquid diet I would be more tempted to drink.
stoney, is that you?
[mr. burns]excellent[/mr. burns]Maybe I'm just a pansy drinker. So for all you ladies I'm a cheap drunk.
Part of my problem is that I drink about $500-600 a month, but 99% of it is free....rather than $200 a month on booze finally makes sense.
Hey, his third compliment from a woman this year![mr. burns]excellent[/mr. burns]
Great! Now he's going to want to get married!Part of my problem is that I drink about $500-600 a month, but 99% of it is free.
Hey, his third compliment from a woman this year!
Unless he marries someone in the industry, knowing how his previous marriages went, he'll drink himself poor in a few months.Great! Now he's going to want to get married!
I was already riding a bunch while drinking, but after I stopped I lost 10 pounds in a fairly short period of time. I don't have much to lose thoughOK, in a more serious note, for those that quit drinking, how much weight did you lose?; just in the lack of alcohol intake alone?
Get this straight:I prolly spend about 200 aswell, It's hard to avoid drinking in college. But last year I actually went 3 months without drinking after a really rough night.
Word.In the long run remember this when all is said and done the only person who will really give a **** about you and your life is you, 99% of your "friends" will not be there for you if and when the **** hits the fan they will be too busy taking care of themselves.
Wish you luck this time el stencho!Word.
My friends have all rolled their eyes when greeted with this news... One even called today to see if I was up for a bar ride. "I'm off the sauce". "Oh yea, I remember you saying that. All right, later".
My biggest hurdle is coming home from a stressful job and hopping on the bike and riding to the gym instead of having drinks at the house or hopping on the bike and riding to the bar.
I'm serious about it and I appreciate the encouragement!
If you are really serious, right on.A permanent hangover and getting more and more out of shape has gone too far.
Diet and exercise baby, diet and exercise for 2008.
Whistler would be incredible. My little brothers wedding is in August, but we'll see what happens.Take the money you save and buy 2 things:
Lights to ride South Mountain at night with me
Ticket to whistler (i'm going late Summer)
Thanks! If you are really serious, right on.
All power to you bro.
