I went and did that real biking this weekend and now my hands hurt and I'm sunburnt! That NEVER happened when I was e-biking

I had a bitch'n weekend of DH at Big Bear this weekend. We got there midday Friday to find that the lifts were closed. No worries, break out the shuttle truck and do 3 Westridge runs! Those runs were the best I'd ever seen that trail in. It had rained the night before and everything was nice and tacky and very little dust.. Fun stuff!

Night time was great, we rented a sweet cabin with a jacuzzi and BBQ, which we used with copius amounts of beer!

Saturday was full bore. Start early, end late and don't stop. My hands were killing me from the deep braking bumps at speed, but I pinned it all the same.

More craziness at the cabin that night, we got into the brandy and started playing poker.

Sunday was busy, clean the cabin, pack up, get to the resort, ride for 5 hours, take a bunch of photos (Joe has 'em, I'll post some soon) and have tons of fun. Then drive backto Santa Barbara.

On the way to SB the sun was setting on the coast & KJEE was pumping the reggae. What a perfect way to end a road trip

If your the sunburnt blonde dude standing about half way down the face with a camera...I saw you, you were very burnt.

I was there Sat and the dirt had dried but it was great.

I guess we only have a couple more weeks till the mountain closes to prep for snow.

No, I have dark hair, usually hidden underneath a TLD lid.
I got a little cooked, but I was covered in waterproof 45spf, so it isn't too bad. I was on a black M1 with gray SuperT's.

Yes Jack123, KJEE is always a big advertisement, but the Cool Ruler makes sure the Reggae flows on Sunday

And Brian, I'm strictly an amatuer at E-biking, Acadian would smoke me down the E-hill Yeah I only race sport in E-biking, more of an E-freerider

Damn, i'm an e-biker now because i'm selling my bikes. For a good cause though. I'll be hitting socal in January for a long awaited(and deserved) holiday (from OZ). Gonna be a bmx bandit instead for a little while.

By the way, i ve just installed the DRS (see other thread), i am back from Greece, and i am about to spill 2k for a new road bike (fitness here i come), but the weather here has a different opinion.... gusty winds and rain!!!!! cmon.... ok i like ebiking... but it looks like i ll be e-cycling with the new roadie.... I HATE RAIN. HELP

You'll do fine on Tunnel, I'm sure. Its a lot of hype that its a hard trail neaky: Christ! Orven was killing it on a hardtail last time, how hard can it be?
