I'd say skareb. But is the bike 23lbs. w/o a fork? Actually, I have a SID...it really ain't that bad. But probably a Skareb for you.....or a Fox RLT maybe.

I'd go with the fox rlt over the skareb. The skareb has had a lot of flex issues and the stanchions are pretty wimpy. If you want light, stiff, and strong, go Fox.

Fox Float RL. Light, stiff, air, works awesome, can be pushed, and all around great fork. I can't say enough about Fox Forx. Mine works great.

i would go with a sid world cup...but there is some flex issues with those too. Get a ti rigid fork or a Pace carbon fork......very light and hella stiff..lol
but if you want travel go with the skareb becuase it is way lighter than the fox..

I've owned and raced both the Sids (team, world cup and SL) and Fox RLT. There is almost no comparison between the two- unless you gripe about .2 lbs (the approximate difference between a Sid WC and a F80RLT) or have trouble with the funds, you have no reason to go any way but Fox.

The SID WC is 2.93lbs(with remote lockout), while the RLT is 3.64lbs....so they differ a bit more than just .2 lbs.

skarebs suck, I won't ever buy anything from manitou again. It was so squirrely under me I thougt it was going to just fold over. Yanked it off, and put on a squishy old rock shock pilot, and added two pounds, but at least I feel safe.

I loved my SID Carbons. Until I got back on my Reba, I can't go back. Of course, I've got about 30lbs on you, but I think the Carbon/WC is a LOT stiffer than the regular SIDs. Recommended. If it held up under my beatings, it should have NO problems with you. I was not nice to those forks, and all of them had 0 problems...

Reba Team=3.4lbs, stiffer than my old Float, although not as plush. An excellent alternative to an RLT or a SID.

my vote would be for a Marzocchi Marathon race...D
Isn't the a/c on those beasties really low?

The Reba would be stiffer, but I don't think as plush...mmm...I loved my 02 Marathon Air I had. Such a nice fork...
