    that's cool. winning free stuff is never a bad thing. unless you won a bag of vomit.

    the only record i ever won was from the providence college radio station. it was a copy of teh soundtrack to _Bachelor Party_, pre-Oscar tom hanks. it was notable for an exclusive REM song which later ended up on _Dead Letter Office_.

    Ha WPDH changed format somewhat so now I never listen to it.

    You can convert the songs on your computer, but I think that takes away the essence of the vinyl (and the great sound). Where do you buy most of your collection?
