I have done my research on new forks, and I think Manitou Nixons sound pretty good for my riding. I have a question about one of the features though. It says it has 145mm all the way to slam down via Infinite Travel (IT) adjust. Does that mean I can adjust my travel by a reviever on my handlebars? I am looking at the 2005 platinum model. thanks for youe help.

I think it's a knob on the fork crown. If it's the one I'm thinking about it's famous for getting loose and adjusting itself. My advice it to avoid manitou like the plague.

The IT function allows you to adjust travel to any position. So you can drop a Nixon about 3 inches if memory serves me or anything in between. A buddy had one when it was brand new.

But if you keep doing your research, you will find out that the IT doesn't work right, and Manitou is crap. Or buy one and find out yourself.
