Im sure there is a post somewhere... but has anyone ever DH'd a week after dislocating their shoulder? or know of any brace that will keep the shoulder in place?

Don't do it. Even if it was just a subluxation and not a full dislocation, don't do it. You will get injured further. You might not fall, but you will hamper you're healing process, and possibly cause irreparable damage if you happen to do the right thing...well...wrong. Did I mention, don't do it?? Oh yeah, I did....don't do it. Wait at least the standard 4-6 weeks. Been there, done that, have the scars to prove it.
Famous last words..anything can happen someone else could cause you to crash...there are just too many variables...better safe than sorry. Think about it this way.....if you wait and heal up properly you will get more riding time in overall...vs. getting hurt more severly and end up being off the bike even longer...D
there will be plenty more prizes and other races...try not to get caught up in the moment...basically it's up to you... what are you willing to risk? Good luck with whatever you decide...D
I thought the same thing...but I re-injured myself and I have had to wait an extra 3 months...I totally missed this season...just something to consider...D

I wouldnt mess with it. Let this one go. Take it from a guy that know about shoulder problems. 1997 I trained 3 months on a jacked up shoulder to go to nationals (Swimming)... I went to nationals, got 10th, was pleased as punch at the time. The Doc told me to take the season off but I just couldnt do it. Now, 9 years later, I need surgery on that same shoulder.
I look back on that and think how stupid I was. You will too if you gurt yourself.

The fact that you're even asking the question shows you know the answer. I too have experienced shoulder injuries and rushed back into activities that further delayed my recovery.
