Riding the baggage carousel.

Despite the 27 miles I put in on a bike yesterday and the 4 miles I ran the day before that, it is now 4am and I have been unable to sleep for several hours. Guess that's how it's going to be today.

Normally with a restrictive mileage allowance too. The one time we looked we couldn't even do Moab and back for the weekend.

Gorgeous morning in Maine.
Up at 5, fucked around with dogs, coffee, shed and applying 2 coats of poly to 1000 sq of vaulted pine ceiling. Working overhead = kill list.

Mother in law in town for weekend. I plan to do little today as the girls will flock to her.

Walked the dogs at dawn. Watson saw a rabbit and went nuts trying to herd it. He ignored the recall command and got a severe correction. A friend stayed over last night so the campers dinette got converted to a bed. Kind of explains why I an sitting in the cab of the truck drinking my coffee. Heading over to the show office in a few to grab a two way radio off the charger and start my work day. Weather forecast, heavy rain and wind after 11 am

Shit is shiny, yo.
Lol, I have a fetish, last year I tried all of Maxxis' 24" tires to test maximum brakeless angle of inclination on the bmx track's asphalt berms/corners.

Ending up destroying a couple pairs of freeriders as I ride on the outside of my pedals and the shoes look mint except for the gaping abrasion hole from heel to toe on the left shoe.

After a that, Schwalbe tabletops ftw, DTHs were sweet but too pinner, 2.0 or larger please, and the holy roller is also lacking in width relative to the tabletops and the lean angle is not as good. Hookworms are king, but add 2# to the bike, pedals and shoes will scrape before you loose friction.

Trail snacks engaged. Time to get those tires dirty.

Asleep at 11 up at 5. Headshots today because company wants them for marketing purposes. Guess my old fat, non-bearded pictures won't do. Then errands all day including getting a sport coat, because everyone loves a good sports coat... At least I can get away with not wearing a tie then.

Pressure washing the deck instead of riding
I get to do that then stained Haley's playground soon. Not looking forward to it. I do have a big favor call-in from a buddy of mine who I have been doing a bunch of car work for. I might pull that card for the staining.

@velocipedist ... moar pics of that sweet bike, please.
ok

Definitely should have gone for the DHF in the front, will rectify for tomorrow's ride.

Still kinda amazed I did 10 miles in a little over an hour; Georgia has flow™.

Frame is a Dartmoor Ghetto '12 or '13 I think, the singlepiece hydroformed chainstays ride even better than they look. Frame is 4130 as are the cranks. Common Ground BMX handlebars for nerdy completeness.

Still waiting on @Mtg to bring out the "Gnar" 24" cruiser/DJ/all around awesomeness named after GWAR of course. He has all the carbon buckz now so I am sure in his free time he will get on it.

Off to the carniceria for meatz.

Found a tick in my arm. Nast.

Also found my oscar blues gloves, which I left at the Troegs tent last night. Very thankful they were burned. :D

Finished reading the Harry Potter series. This has been my obsession the past week or so? Maybe a day or two more than that?

IT CAME IN ROOT BEER
Lol, interesting story there: I picked it up off pinkbike for $400. It was covered in teal automotive paint over the original black powdercoat. Chemical stripper and four days of hand sanding took off enough to finally sand/soda blast the remainder.

The powder coater didnt have the copper color I wanted, so they ordered some. Unfortunately being a new color they weren't familiar with they did an extremely thick coat, killing the intended reflective effect, leaving it in its current rootbeer glory.

Next pic I take I will be sure to add a wok.
