Can anyone confirm this for me? All I'd have to do is file down that little tab?
thats one way to do it. i marked a space for another notch and made a notch inside the canister for the tab to lock into so that it would never move. i thought if it somehow the canister rotates, the air valve will smash into the frame and possibly cause you to crash and damage the frame at the same time. a little harder to mod it this way, but worth it if you can do it properly imo.

There should be slots that will enable a good line up. I didnt have to do anything but re-position the can in one of the slots.

you must have gotten a different shock, cause the stock 4 positions will not work on two of the vivid airs i have used.

Well i also had to flip the driving link, which made assembling interesting to say the least but it should fit without any drilling or filing.
