Ever read it??? It's actually a pretty good story and is a quick read. (the old testament has lots of awesome violence and god is quite vengeful.) How true the stories are is a whole other issue

Interesting article.........

With Scripture on iPhones and iPads, believers can bypass constraining religious structures - otherwise known as “church” - in favor of a more individual connection with God.
And how is that bad? It seems the folks that are concerned about this forget how the early church was structured.....pretty loose and met in folks houses without a hard copy of the Text.

Traditionalists worry that technology allows young believers to practice religion without committing to what in the south is called “a church home” - and they’re right.
.........and...........sssssooooo??? This whole article seems like a made up issue....

I will admit if it weren't for my engagement with teaching youth Sunday School I would have walked away from organized church a few years ago, to this day I still don't go to the church service at my "home church". I think there are a pretty good numbers of us out there who are followers of Jesus and compelled by His message but like me are sick of what church has become.

I did a public Q&A with Michigan pastor Rob Bell on the eve of the publication of his new bestseller "Love Wins" and was astonished, during the book-signing that followed, at how many acolytes felt they knew Rob through his sermons, which they regularly downloaded off the internet, even though they had never met him. They hailed from places like Australia, South Africa and New Jersey.

They listen to Bell while they’re working out, or commuting to work. They get their religion - like their meals – on the run.
Interesting they mention Rob, I've been listening to him for almost 10 years now and listen to his sermons weekly, that has become "church" for me.

Anyway just some of my thoughts and comments.........
